Rib Mountain Trail Races
The Rib Mountain Trail Races, presented by IRONBULL, take place on the trails of Rib Mountain State Park near Wausau, WI. The event offers multiple trail distances and a free kids run on a course that features twists, climbs, and hardwood forest scenery. The course layout for 2026 uses the same route as 2025 and consists of one, two, or three loops that include a named climb known as The Hill.

Support and event services include a staffed sports medicine triage and aid station provided by Bone and Joint, with their tent located at the start and finish area. Aid stations are cupless; participants are expected to use their own hydration systems for refilling. Post-race activities are held at the finish area and include food and beverages, with a free meal and drink provided to racers and volunteers and purchases available to spectators. The event follows a green initiative with compost and recycling and uses compostable food trays. The race is Trail Sisters approved and notes a local Trail Sisters group in Wausau.
