Rib Mountain Trail Races : Wausau, WI
Rib Mountain Trail Races are trail running events held on the trails of Rib Mountain State Park in Wausau, WI. The event offers multiple distances and a free kids fun run on a multi-loop course that follows the same layout used in 2025.

The course runs through wooded trails and includes a steep climb known locally as "The Hill." The route uses the park trail system and is arranged as repeated loops for the longer distances.
Medical support is provided on site by Bone & Joint as the event sports medicine provider. Their sports medicine team staffs a triage and aid station at the start / finish area and offers first aid care and assistance to participants.
Aid stations are cupless; participants are expected to carry their own hydration system for refilling. The event has a green initiative with on-site compost and recycling and uses compostable food trays.
A finish line gathering includes food, music, and beer with local craft brews available. All racers and volunteers receive a free meal and drink; spectators may purchase food and drinks onsite. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
