Rib Mountain Trail Races - IRONBULL
Rib Mountain Trail Races take place on trails in Rib Mountain State Park near Wausau, WI. The event offers multiple trail running distances and a free kids run on a course that follows the trails used in 2025 and includes a steep climb known locally as The Hill.

The longer distances are completed as multiple loops of the same course. The Bone & Joint sports medicine team serves as the exclusive sports medicine provider and will staff a triage and aid station at the start and finish area to provide first aid and assistance.
Finish line activities include food, music, and local beer from Red Eye Brewing. Racers and volunteers receive a meal and a drink; spectators may purchase food and drinks on site.
The event operates a green initiative: aid stations are cupless and participants should plan to use personal hydration systems for refills. Compost and recycling are available, and compostable food trays are used. The race is Trail Sisters approved and connected with local Trail Sisters activities in Wausau.
