Rhydycroesau Fell Run
The Rhydycroesau Fell Run is an 8.8 km (5.5 mile) multi terrain fell race with 225 m (738 ft) of ascent. The course starts and finishes in the centre of a traditional country village show and passes a short section of tarmac before moving onto tracks, paths and fields that lead up to the Pen Y Gwely reservoir through borderland countryside.
The course is described as partially marked and notes that limited experience is required. Minimum age for entry is over 15. The race is insured by the Welsh Fell Runners Association and is held in conjunction with a local village show.
Recorded course times include a male record of 32:20 and a female record of 40:59, both set in 2022. Entry on the day is priced at £7.
