Rexy Run/Walk
The Rexy Run/Walk takes place on August 15, 2026, at Broken Arrow Park in southeast Lawrence. The course begins and ends at the park and winds through the Baker Wetlands on a mix of paved concrete trails and fine gravel trails. The event is stroller friendly and dog friendly.
This edition is the 11th annual event and includes in-person and virtual options. Distances offered include:
- 5K (3.1 Miles)
- 10K (6.2 Miles)
- Kids run and a virtual multi-sport category are also available.
The in-person 5K and 10K have listed registration fees of $30 and $35 respectively. The kids run includes a medal with registration and has a listed fee of $8. A virtual Rexy option that allows running, walking, swimming, biking, or crawling has a listed fee of $50.
The event is hosted by BabyJay's Legacy of Hope, a 501C nonprofit based in Lawrence. The organization provides financial help to families with children who are fighting cancer by offsetting extra expenses not covered by health insurance.
