Reston Sprint Triathlon
The Reston Sprint Triathlon takes place on June 7, 2026, at 11601 Lake Newport Road, Reston, VA. The main course features a 400 meter swim in the Lake Newport pool, a 12 mile bike on local streets, and a 5K run on area pathways.
Event options and formats include:
- Sprint Triathlon: 400 meter swim, 12 mile bike, 5K run
- Aquathon: 400 meter swim and 5K run
- Sprint Relay: teams of two to three athletes each completing at least one discipline
Registration for the listed events opens on October 1, 2025 and closes on January 18, 2026. Published registration fees are $125 for the Sprint Triathlon, $110 for the Aquathon, and $200 for the Sprint Relay.
Additional activities around the event include an in-person Monthly Meetup series beginning in February that offers access to the event leadership team, training resources, and raffles. A Health and Wellness Fair is scheduled for June 6, 2026 in the Lake Newport pool parking lot. A post-race beer garden is provided for attendees to gather after the races.
