The Invictus Project is organizing the third annual Rescue Run in August 2026 in Asheboro, North Carolina. The race program includes the following event options:
- 5K (in-person Rescue Run 5k)
- Virtual 5K
The listed entry price for the in-person 5K is $30 (previously shown as $45). The virtual 5K is listed at $30. Registration open dates are shown in May 2026 for each event. A deadline of August 5 is listed for guaranteed participant swag bags.
Location and logistics
The in-person event base is Bicentennial Park, 135 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC 27203. Packet pick-up is scheduled Friday, August 22, 2026, 9:00 am - 3:00 pm at 350 North Cox Street, Ste 9b, and race day packet pick-up is scheduled Saturday, August 23, 2026, 7:45 am - 8:45 am at Bicentennial Park. Parking is available at the public lot, 146 N Church Street, with additional parking along North Street and at the Randolph County Courthouse.

A course map is provided as a downloadable PDF. Volunteers are scheduled to meet at the Invictus booth at 8:00 am with stations including signage, T-shirt table, registration, water station, motivation station, set up, and clean up.
