Event Overview
The Rescue Run 5K is organized by The Invictus Project and is described as its third annual event. The run supports a cause focused on child protection. There are two participation options: a standard 5K race and a virtual 5K.
Location & Logistics
The in-person race takes place at Bicentennial Park on Sunset Avenue in Asheboro, North Carolina. Parking is available at a public lot on North Church Street, with additional spaces along North Street and at the Randolph County Courthouse. Packet pickup is scheduled for the day before the race at a separate location on North Cox Street, with race-day pickup also available at the park.

Registration opens in early May 2026. The price for both the in-person and virtual 5K is listed at $30, with an earlier strike-through price of $45 shown for the in-person event.
