Format and logistics
Each athlete completes three timed segments: a 10-minute pool swim (any stroke), a 20-minute stationary bike session led by a coach, and a 15-minute walk or run on the indoor track. Transition periods are timed: 15 minutes to move from the swim to the spin room and 5 minutes to move from the bike to the track. Lanes in the pool hold up to four swimmers, the swim is counter-clockwise, and lifeguards and volunteers will be on site. At 13 minutes into the run the last lap will be announced and athletes should finish that lap and exit as instructed. After the race, participants receive a finisher's medal and Jugo Juice. Spectators are allowed in the stands to view the swim; spin rooms do not permit spectators and track-side space for cheering is limited. Recommended items include a swimsuit or trisuit, goggles, the provided swim cap, a mandatory towel, running shoes, and any needed medications.
