25th Remembrance of 9/11 Memorial 5K and 9.11K
The 25th Remembrance of 9/11 Memorial is a commemorative running and walking event held at Bradley Lake Park in Puyallup, Washington. The event serves to honor the individuals who lost their lives on September 11, 2001, including civilians and first responders. Participants can choose between two specific distances:
- 5 km
- 9.11 km
The event is designed with environmental sustainability in mind. To reduce carbon footprints, the race is a cup-less event. Water is provided for participants to fill their own personal bottles or hydration systems. Additionally, the event has moved away from traditional safety pins for race bibs; reusable bib fasteners are available for purchase.
Registration includes a commemorative medal, a race bib, and snacks provided after the event. Special pricing is available for Military personnel and First Responders. Due to insurance regulations and park policies, dogs are not permitted on the course. While the courses are generally consistent, the organizer reserves the right to modify routes in coordination with local law enforcement and fire departments to ensure participant safety.
The event site is located at 531 31st Avenue Southeast and takes place on paved pathways and park trails. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
