About the race
The 9/11 Heroes Run in Tacoma takes place on 09/12/2026 at Wapato Park, 6500 S Sheridan Ave, Tacoma, WA 98408. The event brings together runners, ruckers, and walkers to honor the heroes of 9/11 and those who have served since, and to activate and unite local communities while supporting veterans, active duty service members, first responders, and families of the fallen.
The event includes multiple participation options and volunteer opportunities. Rucking divisions are offered through a partnership with GORUCK; rucking is described as walking or running while carrying a weighted rucksack. Participants registered in the GORUCK division receive this year’s TMF GORUCK patch.
