Event Overview
The 16th Annual Remembrance 5K Run/Walk for HOPE takes place on Saturday, August 1, 2026, in Liverpool, New York. The event supports HOPE For Bereaved, an organization that provides free peer grief support services. All proceeds from the event fund this mission.
Event Details
The event features three activities:
- A timed 5K run/walk.
- A Superhero Kids Fun Run for participants aged 12 and under.
- A Virtual Run/Walk that can be completed anywhere.
Participants are invited to bring a photograph of a loved one to be displayed on a memory board on race day and later at the HOPE office. There is also a T-Shirt Memorial Opportunity; for donations over $100, a loved one's name can be added to a memorial section on the event shirt (deadline July 10th).
Registration and Logistics
Registration is conducted online only; paper or cash registration is not accepted. Packet pickup is scheduled for Wednesday, July 29, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the HOPE For Bereaved office on 4500 Onondaga Blvd in Syracuse, NY.
The registration fee for the 5K and virtual events increases over time:
- $30 from April 1 to May 31.
- $35 from June 1 to July 4.
- $40 from July 5 to August 1.
- $50 on the day of the event.
