Event Overview
The Reindeer Run takes place in late November as a way to greet summer and the upcoming holiday. It is organized by GoodRunnings.
Course Details
The course is a 2.5 km loop along the Patawolonga Creek, described as a quiet scene only a few hundred meters from the bustle of Glenelg. All distances longer than 2.5 km consist of multiple loops of this course. The start and finish line is located at the end of Anderson Avenue, down the street from the Glenelg Baseball Club.
There is one aid station on the course, present at the start/finish of each loop. It is passed every 2.5 km and provides water, sports drink, soft drink, snacks, lollies, and first aid.

Event Logistics
Bib collection is available exclusively on the day, starting 30 minutes prior to a participant's elected distance start time. A standard race briefing begins 15 minutes prior to each distance's start time. An additional English as a Second Language (Simplified) Race Briefing is offered at 4:20 PM, using simpler words, slower speech, and more one-on-one contact. Early starts at 4:00 PM are available for the event. A cut-off time of 6:00 AM applies to all events.
Registration and Charity
A portion of each registration ($5) supports Women’s Safety Services SA's Northern Adelaide Domestic Violence Services (NADVS).
Optional Medal
An optional medal is available for free for distances of 21.1 km and over. For distances under 21.1 km, the medal is available for $13.00. Personalization services (name, inspirational message, and/or finish time) are available for an additional cost. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
