Reindeer Run - Patawolonga Creek
The Reindeer Run takes place on a 2.5 km loop along the river a few hundred metres from Glenelg. Runners complete one or more loops, so distances longer than 2.5 km consist of repeated circuits of the same course. The start and finish are located at the end of Anderson Ave near Glenelg Baseball Club.
There is one aid station on course at the start and finish of each loop. The aid station is passed every 2.5 km and provides water, sports drink, soft drink, snacks, lollies, and first aid.
Bib collection is available on the day and opens 30 minutes before each distance start. A race briefing begins 15 minutes before each distance start. An English as a Second Language simplified briefing is offered using simpler words, slower speech, and more one on one contact for those who need it.
Early starts are available and late starts may be granted on written request with a valid reason. All events have a cut off at 6am.
Medals are optional. Distances of 21.1 km and over receive a medal at no extra cost. For shorter distances a medal is available for a fee and name or time personalisation is offered for an additional charge.
Only participants who start at the standard race start and complete the prescribed course are eligible for podium recognition. Podium awards are not posted after the event if a winner is absent. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
