Event overview
The Reindeer Run and Grinch Sprint takes place on December 5, 2026 in Flower Mound, TX at Bakersfield Park (1201 Duncan Lane). The event is part of the Town Christmas program. It includes these distances:
- 5K
- Fun Run (open to ages 1 - 12)
Entry fees listed are $30 for the 5K and $15 for the Fun Run. Fees increase after July 31, 2026. Shirts and medals are provided on a first-come, first-serve basis. Santa and the Grinch will be available for photos after the runs. The event provides coffee, hot chocolate, cookies and pancakes to runners. The Fun Run route includes a make-believe town with characters from the Christmas tale.
Logistics and awards
Race week packet pickup is at Cross Timbers YMCA (2021 Cross Timbers Rd, Flower Mound) on December 4 and December 5. Day-of registration and packet pickup are available on race day.
Awards are given to the top 3 overall male and female finishers and to top Master male and female finishers (age 40+). Awards are also given to the top 3 male and female finishers in age group brackets including 1-9, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79 and 80+. Chip timing is required to be eligible for awards. Results will be posted online at Time and Measure. All event income supports local and international charity work.
