Gobbler's Gallop - Ellwood City
The 32nd annual Gobbler's Gallop is a community running event held at Riverside High School in Ellwood City on November 26, 2026. The race start is on Country Club Drive in front of the school and the finish is on the athletic track.
Distances offered include:
- 10K Run
- 5K Run
- 10K and 5K combined (15K total)
- 5K Walk (virtual, completed on race day)
Timing uses disposable chips attached to the back of the race bib. Participants running both races will receive a single bib for timing. Online registration closes on November 24 and race day registration is available.
Medals are awarded in both the 5K Run and 10K Run. Awards include top three male and female overall finishers and top three in these age groups: 13 and under, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-64, 65-69, and 70 plus.
T-shirts are guaranteed to all pre-registered runners if registered by Friday, November 21. After that date shirts are provided on a first come, first served basis.
Proceeds from the event benefit Riverside XC, Ellwood City XC, and the Riverside Community Education Foundation. The 10K course has been revised to remove a large hill and now includes an out-and-back segment on Harpers Ferry and Czar roads. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
