Reentry Resource Center’s Rise Up and Run 5K
The County of Santa Clara Reentry Resource Center and its partners present a community 5K event with both an in person run or walk and a virtual option. The in person event takes place at Hellyer County Park - Cottonwood in San Jose on October 17, 2026. The virtual option can be completed on any day and at any time between October 17, 2026 and October 31, 2026. The distance for both options is 5K (3.1 miles).
The event raises funds to support the immediate needs of justice involved people, including clothing, food, hygiene items, and transportation. Participants will receive a Rise Up and Run race shirt and a medal. Packet pickup information is to be announced.
Support for returning residents is presented through several methods associated with the event: registration, sponsorship of registrations for individuals or families, monetary donations to purchase new clothing, and direct donations of new clothes.
