Red, White & Blue Race - Fort Bragg
The Red, White & Blue Race is a multi-distance running event in Fort Bragg, California that benefits Code 3 Mind Health, Inc., a local nonprofit providing mind health services for first responders. The course runs along the coastal trail and is oceanfront for much of its length.
The event uses the south coastal trail at Noyo Headlands Park as the starting area and proceeds north. Key course features by distance include a 5K turnaround near the compass rose, a 10K route that passes historic Glass Beach and crosses the Pudding Creek Trestle onto the Mackerricher Haul Road with a turnaround near the "silver gate" entrance, and a half-marathon that continues through Mackerricher State Park to a turnaround just before the Ten Mile State Preserve entrance.
Distances included:
- Half Marathon: 13.1 Miles
- Kiddie Race: 0.5 Miles
- 10K: 6.2 Miles
- 5K Fun Run/Walk: 3.1 Miles
All participants receive a choice of long sleeve or short sleeve race shirt. The finish area provides fruit, water and coffee, and coffee is available throughout the event. Finisher medals are awarded to all half-marathon finishers. Medals are given for first, second and third place in each age category, and award baskets for first male and female finishers in the half, 10K and 5K contain local goods. All kiddie competitors receive a finisher prize and awards are given to the first three finishers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
