Big River Adventure (Mendocino, CA)
The Big River Adventure is a multi-sport community event held on May 30, 2026, at Big River State Park and the Big River Beach boat launch in Mendocino. The event marks the 25th annual edition and raises funds to support free services provided by Cancer Resource Centers of Mendocino County. The stated mission includes honoring and remembering those impacted by cancer.
Events start at the boat launch and proceed east up Big River. Course notes provided by the organizer describe routes and start locations for each activity. Paddlers must bring their own vessel. The 10K Run and the Big River Swim are listed as non-competitive.
There are multiple race age divisions. Participants between ages 6 and 17 may enter any race division at a discounted signup rate of $20. To keep the event affordable and accessible, the organizer will not provide t-shirts this year.
