The Teal Pumpkin Festival is described as a free, family allergy-friendly event supported by a FARE Community Outreach Award Grant. Past festival activities included non-food treats, teal pumpkin painting, epinephrine practice on a scarecrow, face painting, a live band, an inflatable slide, raffles, giveaways, and photos with mascots. The Peoria chapter reports community impact such as equipping police with epinephrine auto-injectors, training educators, partnering with local restaurants, and expanding allergy-safe zones. Fundraising is managed through the Red Sneakers for Food Allergy Awareness - Peoria Chapter with a stated fundraising goal. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
