Red Raider Road Race
The Red Raider Road Race is an annual club event held at Texas Tech University. The 45th edition takes place on October 10, 2026, with courses that loop the inner Texas Tech campus and race headquarters at the Student Recreation Center. The event has been staged since 1982.

- 10K Run
Age and equipment rules are specified: the 5K is open to participants aged 10 and older, the 10K requires ages 13 and older, and strollers are permitted only for participants aged 18 and older in the 5K. Pets are not allowed on the course. Both the 5K and 10K courses are USATF certified, listed as TX13188ETM for the 5K and TX13187ETM for the 10K.
Entry fees differ by status: $25 for club members and non-member children ages 10 to 12, and $35 for non-members for either distance. Race day registration is limited and no refunds are offered. Packet pickup is available on the Friday before race day at FootTech on 19th Street. The event includes a race T-shirt. Recent participation totals include 425 finishers in 2025 and 498 in 2024, with historical race records maintained for multiple age groups.
