Event overview
The Red Coyote Puppy Love 5K is a community 5K event held in Oklahoma City at Stars & Stripes Park / Lake Hefner on Sunday, February 22, 2026. The event is 100% dog friendly for well-socialized dogs on a leash and allows participants to run with or without a dog. Logistics and partners
The race supports 405 Animal Rescue; weather permitting, rescue dogs will be available to meet and possibly adopt. Packet pick up is available at the Red Coyote Oklahoma City store (5720 N Classen, OKC 73118) on Friday, February 21, with additional on-site pick up at the race day location. Parking inside Stars & Stripes Park is limited, with overflow parking at other Lake Hefner recreation areas; some ball field lots will be closed during the run portion. Timing uses MyLaps Bib Tag with live online results, finish-time notifications, downloadable finisher certificates, and event photos provided by Okie Pics. Optional race insurance is available through a third party during registration. An alternate weather backup date is preliminary set for Sunday, March 1, 2026.
