Red Coyote Puppy Love 5K
The Red Coyote Puppy Love 5K is a community 5K event held at Stars & Stripes Park in Oklahoma City, located at 3701 S Lake Hefner Drive, OK 73116. The event includes three participation options:
- 5K RUN/WALK
- PUSHCHAIR 5K
- 5K VIRTUAL RUN
The event is dog-friendly for well-socialized dogs on a leash; participants are asked to bring potty bags to clean up after their dogs on the course. 405 Animal Rescue is the beneficiary partner; the organization will bring adoptable dogs to the event. A costume contest for dog and owner pairs is part of the program, with a prize awarded to the top costume.
All finishers receive a Red Coyote Puppy Love 5K medal and a shirt. Packet pickup is available at Red Coyote OKC in the Classen Curve at 5720 N. Classen Blvd, Oklahoma City, on the listed pre-race pickup dates, and additional pickup is available on site at the event.
Organizers note that winter weather in Oklahoma can be unpredictable; if the event cannot proceed as planned it will be postponed rather than cancelled, with a preliminary backup date set for March 1. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
