Events
The Revenge of the Red Baron event offers three race distances:
- Half Marathon
- 5K
- 5K (18 and Under)
Location
All races start and finish at Corning Community College, located at 1 Academic Drive in Corning, New York.
Course Description
The half marathon is a looped course that begins at the college, goes down to South Corning, and returns uphill. The 5K course is an out-and-back route starting and ending at the same location. Participants in the half marathon must complete the distance within 4 hours.
Registration
Online registration opens on March 1, 2026. It closes at noon on October 29, 2026, with same-day registration available before the race. Packet pickup and on-site registration are from 9:30 to 10:45 on November 1 in the Commons of Corning Community College.
Awards and Results
Awards are presented to top overall male and female finishers in both the half marathon and 5K, plus first place in each age group category. Age groups range from 19 and under to 70+. The event is chip-timed, and results will be available online on race day.
Other Details
All finishers receive a custom finisher's medal. A post-race celebration with food, including vegetarian options, is held at the college. Parking is available in the college lots. Discounts are offered for current SUNY Corning Community College students, and special pricing applies for 5K participants aged 18 and under.
