Reach the Beach 5K : Sunset Bay Beach Club, Irving, NY
The Reach the Beach 5K is a community run and walk held on August 15, 2026 at the Sunset Bay Beach Club in Irving, NY. The sanctioned course starts and finishes at the beach club and routes runners over Iola Drive, through Sunset Bay, and down South Shore Drive twice.
All registrants receive free parking and beach access for the day. The event is part of the Sunset Bay Experience, a day of activities that includes a beachside craft and vendor show at Cabana Sam’s Sunset Bay Grill, live music, and a basket raffle; sales and raffle proceeds support the Sunset Bay Volunteer Fire Department.
Multiple registration options are listed: a standard 5K Run/Walk fee of $28.00, a club member rate of $25.00, a student rate of $20.00, and a supporters option for nonrunners at $20.00. Registration opens April 1, 2026 and closes August 13, 2026.
