Event Overview
The 1891 Fredonia Opera House Run takes place on April 26, 2026. It is a fundraiser for the 1891 Fredonia Opera House Performing Arts Center. The event features a 5 km run/walk course.
Course Details
The start and finish line is at the Fredonia Village Hall and Opera House on 9 Church Street in Fredonia, New York. The route begins on Day Street and finishes on Church Street. It includes parts of Temple Street, Central Avenue, Brigham Road, and a section of Ring Road on the State University of New York at Fredonia campus. The course is USATF-certified. It is mostly flat and fast, with a short, small incline at the start.
Events and Registration
There are two participant categories:
- In Person 5k: Open to all.
- In Person Student 5k: Open to participants aged 21 and under.
Standard pre-registration costs $25 for adults and $15 for students. Day-of-race registration is $30 for adults. All participants receive a swag bag. T-shirts are guaranteed for those who register by April 14, 2026. Registration closes on April 23, 2026.
Awards
Award medals are given to the first, second, and third place male and female finishers overall. Medals are also awarded to the top three male and female finishers in standard age groups from 17 & under to 80 & over. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
