Re-Fridgee-Eighter 2026
Re-Fridgee-Eighter is a winter running event held at the Columbia Icefield on the University of Waterloo campus in Waterloo, Ontario. The 2026 edition is the 28th running of the event. Organizers position the race as a winter A or B effort or as a training race for spring targets such as the half marathon, 30k, or full marathon.
Distances offered include:
- 8 mile
- 5 km
- 1.88 km fun run
- 200 m kids' run
Entry fees are non refundable; deferral and transfer rules are detailed in the waiver participants accept during registration. Prices change by registration period, processing fees are included in the listed price, and taxes are added where applicable. Technical t shirts are available for purchase during registration while supplies last.
Race swag includes a finisher medal for each distance and optional technical t shirts. Stickers are available at kit pickup, limited to one per person and distributed first come first served. Strollers and their passengers are free but must be registered and accompanied by a participant registered in a different sub event.
