Re-Fridgee-Eighter 2027
Re-Fridgee-Eighter returns for its 29th edition on February 14, 2027 at University Stadium, Seagram Drive, Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. The event takes place in February and can encounter a wide range of winter conditions.
The event offers these distances:
- 8 mile
- 5 km
- 1.88 km fun run
- Kids' 200 m
The timed race courses will be certified by Athletics Canada. Course formats include three identical counterclockwise loops for the 8 mile race and two counterclockwise loops with a slight variation for the 5 km; the 1.88 km is an untimed fun run. Strava maps are provided for each course.
Entry is not refundable; deferrals and transfers are described in the registration waiver. Every finisher receives a medal for the 8 mile, 5 km, 1.88 km and 200 m events. Technical t-shirts are offered for purchase during registration while supplies last. Stickers are distributed at kit pickup on a first come, first served basis.
At University Stadium the outdoor area contains the start and finish lines plus water and medical support. The indoor gym is used for pre race information, bib pickup and bag check, and for post race water, food, results and washrooms.
Advance bib pickup is available at Runners' Choice Waterloo on February 12 and February 13. Race day bib pickup is available at University Stadium on February 14. Parking is free on Sundays in several municipal and campus lots; organizers advise against parking at University Stadium because snow can fill spaces and vehicles may be blocked in. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
