About the race
Re-Fridgee-Eighter 2027 is the 29th annual winter road race held at University Stadium on Seagram Drive in Waterloo, Ontario, on February 14, 2027.
The event includes timed races and untimed fun runs over several distances:
- 8 mile
- 5 km
- 1.88 km fun run
- 200 m kids' fun run
Timed race courses will be certified by Athletics Canada. The 8 mile course is run as three identical counterclockwise loops. The 5 km course uses two counterclockwise loops with a slight variation between loops. The 1.88 km event is an untimed fun run.
At University Stadium the start and finish lines and outdoor aid and medical stations are located in the parking area. The indoor gym is used for pre-race bib pickup, bag check, and post-race water, food, and results, and it contains washrooms.
Advance bib pickup is offered at Runners' Choice Waterloo, and race-day bib pickup is available at University Stadium. Entry fees are non-refundable; deferrals and transfers are described in the participant waiver. Every finisher receives a medal. Technical t-shirts may be purchased during registration while supplies last. Stickers are available at kit pickup on a first-come, first-served basis.
Organizers note free municipal parking is available on Sundays but advise against parking directly at University Stadium when snow may block vehicles. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
