About the race
H+P LAST CHANCE 5K takes place on Columbia Street West in Waterloo, Ontario on November 28, 2026. The event features a measured road loop run twice as a race segment and is offered in two heats. The course is described as fast but fair and spectator friendly. The loop was wheel measured for accuracy; GPS watches may report a longer distance on this circuit.
Official timing combines hand timing with segment results, with hand timing treated as the primary standard and segment data used for cross reference. The event note explains watches can read around 5.2 km on this loop due to GPS variance. Prizes and support include nutrition and additional items provided by My Next KW HOME GROUP and prize support from RUNNER'S CHOICE WATERLOO, with specific prize details to be announced. Results will be published on the event results site hpwr.scrw.ca. Parking options include nearby residential streets and a major lot at Costco identified as the closest large parking area to walk or jog from.
If the primary loop is unusable because of snow or construction, organizers have backup course options prepared. Registration for the race is listed as free during the stated registration window. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
