RBC Race for the Kids
RBC Race for the Kids is an annual community running and family event organized to raise funds for pediatric care and research at CHEO. The event takes place on October 4, 2026 at Wesley Clover Parks in Ottawa. Onsite parking at the venue is free.
The event offers multiple course options:
- 10K, timed event
- 5K, timed event
- 2K Accessible Family Fun Run, not timed, strollers and dogs welcome
All funds raised support CHEO’s care and research programs, with a stated fundraising goal of $600,000. Participants may create or join fundraisers and earn fundraising prizes. Bib pickup is not available on event day; bibs must be collected at one of three designated pickup locations before the event.
Programming on site includes a Family Fun Zone with free games, inflatables, rock climbing, music, and food. Pets are allowed. The event is planned to proceed rain or shine; if the event is cancelled due to extreme weather, registration fees are converted to donations and a tax receipt is issued rather than a refund.
