RBC Race for the Kids Ottawa
RBC Race for the Kids is a community running and fundraising event that supports pediatric care and research at CHEO. The event is scheduled for October 4, 2026 at Wesley Clover Parks in Ottawa. Its stated fundraising goal is $600,000 to support transformative care and research for children and youth at CHEO. All funds raised go directly to the hospital and research efforts.
Participants can run, walk, or wheel in the following distances:
- 10K
- 5K
- 2K Accessible Family Fun Run (not timed; strollers and dogs are allowed; 800 spots noted for one 2K start)
Onsite parking at Wesley Clover Parks is free. There is no registration or bib pickup on event day; bibs must be picked up in advance at one of three pickup locations. The event takes place rain or shine. If the event is cancelled due to extreme weather, registration fees are converted to a donation and a tax receipt is issued; no refunds are provided. Participants who paid a registration fee still receive earned fundraising prizes if the event is cancelled.
The event includes family-focused activities such as a Family Fun Zone with free games, inflatables, rock climbing, music, and food. Volunteers help run the event and safety information and route maps are provided by the organizer. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
