RBC Race for the Kids : Ottawa
CHEO’s RBC Race for the Kids takes place at Wesley Clover Parks on October 4, 2026 to raise funds for pediatric care and research. The event offers several distances and combines running with family activities, volunteer roles, and fundraising efforts toward a $600,000 goal.
Available event distances include:
- 10K (timed)
- 5K (timed)
- 2K Accessible Family Fun Run (not timed, strollers and dogs welcome, 800 spots available)
The event features a Family Fun Zone with free games, inflatables, rock climbing, music, and food. The race proceeds rain or shine. If the event is cancelled for extreme weather, registration fees are converted to a donation and participants receive a tax receipt; no refunds are issued.
There is no registration or bib pickup on event day; bibs must be collected in advance at one of three pickup locations. Organizers note that traffic on Hwy 417 is expected to be very heavy on the event day and advise allowing extra travel time. Onsite parking at Wesley Clover Parks is free.
