Fall Colours Run
The Fall Colours Run is a two-day road running event around the Cumberland Heritage Museum in historic Cumberland Village. The start and finish area and the final kilometre of each race are at the museum, and the course passes through scenic fall foliage in the community. The course is certified and is a Boston Marathon qualifier. The marathon has a seven hour time limit.
Race days include a mix of family and competitive options. Distances offered include:
- 1 km Turkey Trot for ages 12 and under
- 1 km Wedding Dress Dash
- 3 km
- 5 km
- 10 km
- 21.1 km half marathon
- 42.2 km marathon
Additional formats include two challenge entries pairing multiple distances: 5 km plus 10 km, and 10 km plus 21.1 km. The Turkey Trot awards a finisher medal to every child participant; parents may accompany children and strollers are allowed.
Registration benefits include a personalized race bib, professional timing, on-course nutrition provided by XACT, race photography, podium prizes for the top three male, female, and non-binary finishers in each event, a closed course with local traffic only, and post-race snacks including hot chocolate. Shuttle buses will run between the museum and nearby park and ride locations. Saturday features live performance, food vendors, and a glitter tattoo station, while Sunday offers live music, post-race massages, and food vendors.
