Fall Colours Run in Cumberland Village
The Fall Colours Run in Ottawa is a multi-distance running event centered at the Cumberland Heritage Museum. The course is certified and listed as a Boston Marathon qualifier. For 2026 the event is held over two days, with family and short-distance activities on the first day and longer races on the second.
Available distances and combinations include:
- 1 km Turkey Trot (12 and under, medal included)
- 1 km Wedding Dress Dash
- 3 km
- 5 km
- 10 km
- 21.1 km (half-marathon)
- 42.2 km (marathon)
Challenge options pair races, for example 5 km plus 10 km or 10 km plus 21.1 km. The Turkey Trot allows parents to accompany young runners and permits strollers; every Turkey Trot finisher receives a medal. The Wedding Dress Dash welcomes participants to run in a dress they bring, borrow, or find.
Event services include a closed course with local traffic only, professional timing, on-course nutrition supplied by XACT, race photography, and podium prizes for the top three male, female, and non-binary finishers in each event. Shuttle buses run between the museum and the OC Transpo Park N Ride at Trim Road. Additional on-site features include live music, food vendors, post-race massages, and post-race snacks. Important deadlines cover shirt and medal orders and the online registration deadline. Refunds are available only if cancellation insurance was purchased.
