Ray's Race at the APA Convention
The 48th Annual Ray's Race is a 5K run and 5K walk held during the American Psychological Association convention in Washington, DC. The event takes place at Historic Congressional Cemetery, located at 1801 E St SE, and is presented by the Running Psychologists, a group affiliated with APA Division 47 Section I.

Registration fees are listed as $40 for APA members, family, friends, and local attendees; $30 for students with a promotional code; youth 14 and under receive free entry. Registration opening dates for the listed events are 23 February 2026 for the run and 14 June 2026 for the walk, with registration closing on 8 August 2026. Participants collect bibs and shirts at the Ray's Race table in the convention registration area near "The Gathering Place." Bus transport to the cemetery will be provided.
Historic Congressional Cemetery occupies roughly 35 acres along the Anacostia River and is the final resting place of over 70,000 individuals. The site dates back to the early 1800s and was designated a National Historic Landmark in 2011.
