Rattlesnake Ridge Run
The Rattlesnake Ridge Run takes place at Snoqualmie Point Park in Snoqualmie, Washington. This event utilizes the single-track trails of the eastern Issaquah Alps, a geography that separates the Snoqualmie River Valley from the Cedar River Watershed. Participants run through various forest types and encounter views of the Snoqualmie Valley, the Olympic Mountains, and Mt Rainier.
The event offers three distinct distance options:
- 5k
- 5.8 mile
- Half Marathon
The 5k course follows the Upward Mobility trail before descending via the Rattlesnake Mountain Trail. The 5.8 mile route also utilizes the Upward Mobility trail and extends into the Raging River Forest. The Half Marathon is a more extensive loop with approximately 2875 feet of elevation gain. It crosses into the Raging River Forest, passing the Rattlesnake Mountain West Peak, Raging Ridge, and the Rattlesnake Mountain Middle Peak before returning via Grand Prospect.
Aid stations are provided for the longer distances, with one station for the 5.8 mile course and three stations for the Half Marathon. These stations are stocked with water, hydration drinks, and various snacks such as energy bars, gels, fruit, and sandwiches. The 5k distance does not include an aid station.
Parking is available at Snoqualmie Point Park. The lower lot offers free parking, while the upper lot requires a Discover Pass. The event follows specific safety guidelines, including a policy where dogs are not permitted on the course. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
