RAPTOR 5K
The RAPTOR 5K takes place at Miami Meadows Park in Milford, Ohio. The event supports a local non-profit organization dedicated to the conservation, rescue, and rehabilitation of birds of prey in Southern Ohio and Northern Kentucky. Participants can choose between two primary options:
- 5K Run/Walk
- Sleep-In/Virtual Option
The 5K course consists of flat paved trails within Miami Meadows Park. The race is professionally timed, and awards are presented to the top three male and top three female finishers. Registrations completed by August 28 include a t-shirt and a collectible medal, both featuring the image of a red-tailed hawk. For those registering after this date, these items are available while supplies last.
Following the race, a family-friendly celebration party is held at the park. This gathering includes snacks, drinks, and raffle prizes. Attendees have the opportunity to see several Avian Ambassadors from the conservation center. A virtual participation option is also available for those who cannot attend in person, with the possibility to pick up race materials or have them shipped for an additional fee.
