Ransom District Library Color Run: Jurassic Jaunt
The Ransom District Library Color Run: Jurassic Jaunt is a free, dinosaur themed community event on June 6, 2026 at Ransom District Library, 180 S Sherwood Ave, Plainwell, MI 49080. The run is presented as part of the library's Unearth a Story Summer Reading Program and is organized with support from the City of Plainwell and local sponsors.
The event consists of several distances:
- 250 yards, Mini Fun Run/Walk, ages 3 to 8
- 1 Mile, 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk
- 5K, 5k Fun Run/Walk (timed)
The Mini Run starts at the Sherwood Park Basketball courts and a race leader will guide the children along the 250 yard route to the library. The 1 Mile follows the Mini and takes place next to the library. The 5K begins at the library and is a timed event. Registration is closed and swag will no longer be handed out; participants may still take part without swag and spectators may attend. Last year’s shirt is available for pickup at the library from June 1 through race day while supplies last. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
