Randy's Run/Walk 5K & Murphy's Mile Fun Run
Randy's Run/Walk 5K and Murphy's Mile Fun Run take place on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at Lake George Elementary School, 69 Sun Valley Drive, Lake George NY. The event preserves the memory of two former Lake George Elementary School teachers.
The program includes these distances:
- 5K road race
- Murphy's Mile Fun Run/Walk
The 5K is a road course that includes an uphill segment and finishes with a downhill sprint. Both the start and finish are at Lake George Elementary School. The Fun Run/Walk follows the perimeter of the school grounds. Children who participate in the mile receive a Stewart's Ice Cream gift card.
Proceeds from both events benefit the Lake George High School Freshman class and the Lake George Education Association Scholarship Fund. There is an option to contribute without participating through a fundraising page. Official race shirts are available; registering by April 25 guarantees a shirt in the requested size. Shirts can also be purchased separately through the event online store. Sponsors who contribute $100 or more by April 25 will have their name or business listed on the official race shirt.
