Prospect Mountain Road Race : 36th Annual
The Prospect Mountain Road Race takes place on Saturday, May 9, 2026 in Lake George, NY along Prospect Mountain Highway. The event benefits a SUNY Adirondack nursing scholarship fund and provides finisher magnets for all participants.
The course is a single 5.67 miles uphill route that begins at the Prospect Mountain Road gate and follows a paved access road 1,601 feet to the summit. No dogs, strollers, or bicycles are allowed on the course. Carpooling to the summit for the return to the bottom is encouraged.
Registration fees listed include pre-registered club member and non-member rates plus race day increases. Packet pick-up is scheduled at the mountain on May 9 from 7:00-8:45. Shirts are guaranteed for those registered by April 16, 2026.
Awards are given to the top three overall male and female finishers and to the top male and female in each age group. Refreshments include water stops on the course and snacks at the top.
