Event Overview

The event takes place at Darden Towe Park in Charlottesville, Virginia. Runners can choose between a 5k or a 10k distance. Participation earns points for the event organizer's 5k, 10k, and Back of the Pack series, as well as the Sippin' Series.

Course Information

The route is described as scenic and takes place around Darden Towe Park. It uses a mix of grass, pavement, and gravel trail surfaces. The event includes multiple water stations: five on the 10k course and three on the 5k course. Gatorade may be available at some stations. Restrooms are located within the park.

Registration Details

Registration is available. A virtual run option is also offered for those who cannot attend on race day. The registration fee for the 10k is listed as $50 until July 15, after which it increases. Prices increase by $5 on race morning. T-shirts are guaranteed for registrations before July 22.

Participant Perks

Registered runners receive a technical event shirt, a finisher's medal, and one glass of beer from Random Row Brewing. The race is chip-timed, and live results will be posted online.

Awards

Awards are given to the top three overall male and female finishers. Age group awards are presented for 1st and 2nd place in categories from 19 & Under to 70+. Top overall finishers are not eligible for age group awards.

Logistics

The race start and finish are at Darden Towe Park. Packet pickup is available at the event on race day. Parking is on-site at the park. The post-race gathering for drinks is held at a nearby, separate location: Random Row Brewing on Preston Avenue in Charlottesville.
