Rame Head Race
Rame Head Race is held around the Mount Edgcumbe Peninsula at Mount Edgcumbe Park, Torpoint PL10 1HZ. The core route is a single loop of about 10.6K, mostly on coastal path. Two laps make a half marathon and four laps make a marathon. The route includes a mix of hills and flatter sections and features coastal views.
Distances and categories
- Marathon 26.2 miles, four laps. Age 17 or older.
- Half Marathon 13.1 miles, two laps. Age 16 or older.
- 10K 10.5K, one lap. Age 15 or older.
- 10K Canicross 10.5K, one lap. Age 16 or older.
- Kids races 1K or 2K, one or two laps. Age 3 or older.
Event services include professional chip timing, kilometer markers, a fully marked and marshaled course, and professional first aid. All finishers receive a custom medal and there are podium medals for top three overall plus Vet 40, Vet 50 and Vet 60 categories with a one prize per person policy. Event photography is provided; social resolution images carry an event logo and high resolution downloads are available for an additional charge. Camping is available on site for a fee with limited nights and pre booking advised. Paid parking is available nearby. A short ferry service for foot passengers runs to the event site with an approximate crossing time of eight minutes. The marathon has a cutoff time of seven and a half hours.
