Peter Tavy Plod

The Peter Tavy Plod takes place in the Dartmoor village of Peter Tavy. This event is held alongside the local Village Fair. The race is in its 22nd year as of 2026.

The course for the main event is 5 miles long. The route starts and finishes in the village and follows moorland paths and bridleways. It passes interesting landmarks and offers views of the surrounding area.

After the run, participants can visit the Village Fair. The fair has stalls, games, and refreshments. All finishers receive a medal. The prizegiving ceremony is held at the local pub, which has supported the event from the beginning.
