Event Overview
The Ram Party Trail Runs is a trail running event at Rampart Reservoir in Woodland Park, Colorado. The event features views of Pikes Peak and the Front Range.
Distances
The event takes place on a Saturday and offers several race distances:
- 55 Mile
- 60K
- 50K
- 24K
- 15K
The 60K is a point-to-point race that starts in the mountains, goes through the Rainbow Gulch Trailhead, around Rampart Reservoir, and finishes on Rampart Range Road at the Buffalo Lodge. The 50K is an out-and-back race that also starts and finishes at the Buffalo Lodge and is described as a vert-heavy ultra marathon.
Location and Logistics
The primary event location is the Buffalo Lodge Bicycle Resort at 2 El Paso Blvd in Colorado Springs. The course's high point reaches 9,500 feet, where weather can be significantly cooler than at the start. Participants are advised to carry warm layers and a rain jacket. Lodging discounts are available for participants and volunteers at the Buffalo Lodge.
Awards
Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in each distance. All finishers receive a finisher award.
