Ram Party Trail Runs
Ram Party Trail Runs is a multi-distance trail race weekend based at Buffalo Lodge Bicycle Resort in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Events are centered around Rampart Reservoir and Rampart Range Road near Woodland Park, with course sections that offer views of Pikes Peak and the Front Range.
Distances offered include:
- 55 Mile
- 60K
- 50K
- 24K
- 15K
Course formats vary by distance. The 60K is a point to point course that begins near Glen Aspen Boy Scout Camp and finishes at Buffalo Lodge; a shuttle is provided for point to point runners. The 50K is an out and back from Buffalo Lodge with substantial climbing. The 55 mile course starts and finishes at Buffalo Lodge, climbs toward 9,500 feet, loops around Rampart Reservoir, and returns to Buffalo Lodge. The 24K and 15K also begin and end at Buffalo Lodge and include climbs on Rampart Range Road before returning to the lodge.
Aid stations are placed along each course and drop bags are available at the finish; the 55 mile race has an additional drop bag location at Rainbow Gulch. Crews may support runners at the start and finish. Pacers are allowed on the final section of the 55 mile course only. Parking near Buffalo Lodge is limited and several off site parking options and a shuttle for the 60K are provided. Weather can be cooler near the high point of 9,500 feet so warm layers and rain protection are recommended. Buffalo Lodge offers a lodging discount for participants and volunteers with a provided promo code. Registration closes May 11. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
