Course and logistics
The course begins just north of the Jamaica Pond Boathouse, follows two clockwise laps around Jamaica Pond on the park path, and finishes next to the Boathouse. The route uses a shared path and participants are asked to give way to other park users.
The start area is accessible via the Emerald Necklace bike and pedestrian path. Public transport walking distances are given: Stony Brook (Orange Line) and Heath Street (Green Line E branch) are about 15-20 minutes (roughly 1000 m); Brookline Village (Green Line D branch) is about 20-25 minutes (roughly 1500 m). The 39 bus stops at S Huntington Ave & Perkins St, with about a 400 m walk to the start. Parking options include lots on Pond Ave and Willow Pond Road, street parking on Moraine St, and nearby Jamaica Pond parking lots within 200-300 m.
