Rally for Rebecca 5K Walk-Run-Roll and Fun Run
The Rally for Rebecca is a community 5K Walk-Run-Roll with an accompanying Fun Run, hosted by friends and family in Plainview. The event supports the nonprofit Help Hope Live to assist a Plainview resident living with a spinal cord injury. Participants may join in person or virtually.
The in-person venue is Plainview Old Bethpage Middle School at 121 Central Park Rd, Plainview, NY. Amenities include high-quality unisex t-shirts in youth and adult sizes while supplies last, medals for all Fun Run participants, downloadable finish-line and other photos, and a 50/50 raffle. 50/50 ticket pricing is listed as 1 for $5, 3 for $10, 10 for $20, and 30 for $50; proceeds from the raffle support the Help Hope Live campaign. Cash or Venmo is requested for raffles and artwork purchases. Winners of the 50/50 raffle keep their prizes.
An art sale will offer original paintings by the honoree, with purchases accepted by cash or Venmo. Bib pickup is available early at a local business and on race day at the event; virtual participants can download a digital bib. Awards are given across multiple categories, including overall, resident categories, wheelchair racers, age groups, and largest team. Volunteers are asked to report at assigned times and will receive instructions by email. Live results, same-day finish-line photos, and other event photos are provided online.
