Rally for Rebecca 5K Walk, Run & Roll
The fifth annual Rally for Rebecca takes place at the Plainview Old Bethpage Middle School in Plainview, New York. This community event is organized to support the nonprofit organization Help Hope Live. The event is held rain or shine and includes various ways to participate, including in-person and virtual options.
Participants can choose from several event categories:
- 5K Walk-Run-Roll
- 5K Wheelchair
- Untimed Fun Run (designed for children ages 12 and under)
- Virtual 5K Walk-Run-Roll (completed between May 23 and May 31)
The 5K course is located at the middle school grounds. In-person participants receive high-quality unisex t-shirts while supplies last, and all individuals in the Fun Run receive medals. The event also features an art sale of original paintings created by mouth, a 50/50 raffle, and downloadable finish line photos.
Awards are presented to the top male, female, and non-binary finishers overall, as well as the top three in various age groups ranging from 14 and under to 90 and over. Specific awards are also designated for Plainview-Old Bethpage residents, wheelchair racers, and the largest participating team.
Virtual participants may track their distance using a treadmill, GPS apps, or certified courses and upload their results and photos through a dedicated online portal during the designated week. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
