About the race
The Rally for Rebecca 5K Walk-Run-Roll and Fun Run is a community fundraising event held at Plainview Old Bethpage Middle School in Plainview, NY. The event includes an in-person 5K and a shorter Fun Run, with an option to participate virtually and upload times and photos between 5/23 and 5/31.
Proceeds from the event support the nonprofit Help Hope Live in honor of a Plainview resident. Amenities listed for participants include high quality unisex t-shirts while supplies last, medals for all Fun Run participants, downloadable finish-line photos, and a 50/50 raffle with multiple ticket-price options. Original artwork created by the featured artist will be available for sale; cash or Venmo are requested for purchases and raffles.
Awards are offered across multiple categories: top overall male, female, and nonbinary finishers; top POB residents; top wheelchair racers; and top finishers in age-group divisions from 14 and under through 90 and over. There is also recognition for the largest team.
Practical event details include early bib pickup the Friday before the event at a local restaurant and same-day pickup starting one hour before the event for in-person participants.
