Rainbow Colour Run - Brandon 2026
The Rainbow Colour Run takes place on 13 June 2026 as part of Brandon's third family friendly Pride Day. The event is held on grass at Brandon Remembrance Playing Fields and uses short loops of around a quarter of a mile on a flat course. The field format allows runners and walkers to pass colour stations multiple times in waves.
Online entries close on 12 June 2026 and there is limited on-the-day registration at the event registration desk. Maximum entry is 200 participants. Entry fees are: age 17 and over £10.00, ages 5 to 16 £5.00, under 5s free. The minimum listed age is 1 year. Refunds and deferrals are not permitted.
A group warm-up led by a local fitness instructor starts the activity, followed by running or walking through clouds of biodegradable food-quality corn starch in rainbow colours. Protective eyewear is mandatory. The powder is described as non-toxic and food safe but may stain clothing and skin; white shirts and towels will be available for purchase to enhance colour effects and for cleaning. The local fire brigade will create a water cloud on the course to intensify the colours. Participants must wear their race number and collect it on the day if registered online.
Medals are given to participants and photographs or videos taken at the event may be used in publicity. The wider Pride Day includes charity, craft and trade stalls, family activities, live music, a dance area and food and drink options. Outreach Youth and other local organisations will be present.
