Railway City Road Races : St. Thomas, Ontario
The Railway City Road Races take place in St. Thomas, Ontario on September 27, 2026. The event is based at the CASO Station area (750 Talbot Street) and includes multiple race distances and community-focused activities. - Half-marathon - 21.1 km distance through city sites and scenery.
Course highlights: the 5 km and 10 km routes begin at the CASO Station and use paved recreation trails, crossing Elm Street and entering Pinafore Park. The 10 km route passes Parkside High School, runs alongside Lake Margaret, crosses Lake Margaret Trail to the "Butterfly Path," continues to Sauve Avenue and Axford Parkway, then returns via Humming bird Lane into Pinafore Park and back to the CASO Station finish. The Choo Choo Challenge is an out-and-back 1 km on the path system in front of the Elgin Railway Museum.
The event also features a Youth Unity Run linked to the 5 km and 10 km races; this school-focused competition promotes anti-bullying efforts, with schools earning points for cheering, participation, and social media engagement. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
