Railway City Road Races
Railway City Road Races are scheduled for September 27, 2026 in St. Thomas, Ontario. Registration opens January 1, 2026. The event uses the CASO Station and nearby paved recreation and hiking trails as central points for the courses and activities.

The 5 km route is an out-and-back that begins at the CASO Station, follows the paved hiking trail south, crosses Elm Street, and reaches the entrance of Pinafore Park. The 10 km course also begins at the CASO Station and follows paved recreation trails south, crosses Elm Street, passes Parkside High School, runs alongside Lake Margaret, crosses Lake Margaret Trail to the Butterfly Path, goes up to Sauve Avenue and Axford Parkway, returns over the Lake Margaret Trail (Humming bird Lane), enters Pinafore Park, and follows the trail back to the CASO Station finish. The Half Marathon covers 21.1 km and travels through parts of St. Thomas. The Choo Choo Challenge is an out-and-back 1 km on the path system in front of the Elgin Railway Museum. The Youth Unity Run involves high school students earning points for cheering, participation, and social media activity to support anti-bullying efforts.
