Jordan's Run the Runway 5K Series: London
Jordan’s Run the Runway is a unique annual athletic event held at the Fanshawe College Norton Wolf School of Aviation and Aerospace Technology and the London International Airport. The event takes place directly on the airport runway, offering a flat and fast surface for participants of all ages and abilities. This is a rain or shine evening event.
The event features several participation options:
- 5 km Runway Run/Walk/Roll: A certified flat course suitable for running, walking, wheelchairs, or urban poling. Strollers are permitted on the course.
- Kiddie Trot: An approximate 1 km distance designed for children, offered with both timed and non-timed registration options.
- Virtual 5K: An option for those who wish to complete the distance on their own schedule and at a location of their choosing.
The race starts and finishes on the runway of the aviation centre. Following the athletic events, a reception with food is held inside the hangar of the Fanshawe College Norton Wolf School of Aviation and Aerospace Technology. Awards are presented to the top three male and female finishers, as well as winners in every five-year age category.
This event is part of a four-race series including locations in St. Thomas-Elgin, Chatham-Kent, and Sarnia-Lambton. Participants completing multiple races in the series are eligible for series-specific finisher items and recognition. Proceeds from the event support YMCA Camp Queen Elizabeth through the Strong Kids Campaign. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
