Rail Trail 10-Miler (28th Annual)
The Rail Trail 10-Miler is a 10-mile, one-way road race held on August 22, 2026 to benefit The ARC of York and Adams Counties. The course runs north along the York County Heritage Rail Trail from Liberty Christian Fellowship Church in Seven Valleys and finishes just before the trail crosses Princess Street in downtown York, Pennsylvania. The route is described as gentle and downhill and passes through the oldest operational train tunnel in the nation.
Post-race refreshments and entertainment are provided at the Agricultural and Industrial Museum across the street from the finish line, including craft beer from Collusion Tap Works for participants over 21. Event amenities include a finisher medal, the official 2026 short sleeve t-shirt (register by July 15 to guarantee size), four water stations on course, chip timing and results by Black Cat Timing, and other sponsor-provided items. Bus transportation from the finish line back to the start is available for runners who register early; seating is very limited. Registration opens April 7, 2026 and closes June 30, 2026; the registration fee is $45.00.
Awards are given to the top three men and top three women in overall and in the following age groups: 19 and under; 20-24; 25-29; 30-34; 35-39; 40-44; 45-49; 50-54; 55-59; 60-64; 65-69; 70 and over. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
