Ragnar Trail Individual SoCal : Los Coyotes Reservation
Ragnar Trail Individual SoCal is a weekend trail running event on October 23-24, 2026 at Los Coyotes Reservation in Warner Springs, California. The event uses the relay loops and offers individual race options on desert and mountain trails that include single-track, fire roads, and significant elevation changes among junipers, pines, and oaks.
Runners may choose from multiple formats:
- Single Loop: 3.1 miles on the Yellow Loop.
- 6H Ultra: unlimited loops, distance depends on laps completed.
- 24H Ultra: unlimited loops, distance depends on laps completed.
The Yellow Loop departs Ragnar Village through a canopy of large oaks, includes a steep climb, a fast single-track descent, another near-vertical climb with valley views, and a downhill return to the valley floor. The full relay course measures about 15.7 miles with a total course elevation gain listed as 2,975 feet; the Yellow Loop has about 574 feet of elevation gain.
Ragnar Village serves as the weekend hub and offers camping, food trucks, a bonfire with s'mores, music, yoga, partner prizes, and a festival atmosphere. The reservation is roughly two hours from downtown San Diego and about three hours from Los Angeles; San Diego is the closest major airport.
