Radford University Tartan 5K
The Radford University Tartan 5K, A Twilight Run takes place in Roanoke along the Roanoke Greenway near River's Edge Park - North and is organized by Radford University Health Sciences campus. The event offers both an on-site race and a virtual option and is chip-timed. Runners, walkers, strollers, and dogs of all ages are welcome. The event date is September 18, 2026.

Registration details specify opening dates in March and a registration close date of May 14, with a registration fee of $20.00. Awards include 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place male and female in age groups 18-39, 40-49 (Masters), and 50+ (Grandmasters). Additional recognitions are the Highlander Tartan Spirit Award and acknowledgements for the youngest and oldest finishers. Participants receive a finisher medal, a race T-shirt (guaranteed for the first 150 registrants by August 15, 2026), a swag bag, and a free cup of tropical ice.
