RAD Half Marathon & 10K
The RAD Half Marathon & 10K takes place in Asheville, North Carolina, moving through the River Arts District (RAD) and along the French Broad River. This event highlights the local artistic community and supports the River Arts District Artists Foundation.
The event offers two primary distances:
- Half Marathon (13.1 miles)
- 10K (6.2 miles)
Both routes are USATF sanctioned and certified. The course is designed with a net elevation loss, starting in Downtown Asheville and finishing in the River Arts District. The paths are chip timed using the MyLaps Timing system and are clearly marked for participants. A virtual race option is also available for those unable to attend in person.
Participants receive a custom-designed finisher medal and a commemorative shirt. The event features a pre-race artisan market and expo on the day before the race, where local vendors and craftsmanship are showcased. After the race, a celebration is held at Hi-Wire Brewing featuring live music, food trucks, and local artists.
The course utilizes roads and greenways. Due to safety regulations and road conditions, strollers and dogs are not permitted to participate in the race. Complimentary shuttles are provided for all participants to assist with logistics. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
