The RAD Half Marathon & 10K
The event is a running race in Asheville, North Carolina, taking place in the River Arts District (RAD). The course goes from downtown Asheville into the River Arts District. It is described as a fast route with a net elevation loss. The race is a USATF-certified event with chip timing.
Participants can choose between two distances:
- Half Marathon (13.1 miles)
- 10K (6.2 miles)
There is an Artisan Market and Race Expo the day before the race at The Venue on North Market Street. After the race, there is a post-race party at Hi-Wire Brewing featuring local artists, an awards ceremony, live music, food trucks, and a complimentary beer for participants of legal drinking age. Each finisher receives a custom-designed medal. An event shirt is available.
Complimentary shuttles are provided for all participants. The event is not stroller-friendly, but dogs are allowed as spectators. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
