The RAD Half Marathon & 10K takes place in Asheville, North Carolina on June 14, 2026, with start/finish activities centered in downtown Pack Square Park and the River Arts District (RAD). Distances offered:
- 13.1 miles (Half Marathon)
- 6.2 miles (10K)
The event partners with the River Arts District Artists Foundation. A RAD Artisan Market and race expo with packet pickup is scheduled the day before the race at The Venue, 221 North Market Street. A post-race party in the RAD includes live music, local vendors, an award ceremony, and a complimentary beer or cup of gelato for participants (age 21+ for the beer). Locally made awards are presented to overall and age-group finishers.
Course and logistics
Both courses are USATF sanctioned and certified (Sanction Number 155770; Half Marathon NC25009DF; 10K NC25010DF). The route features a net elevation loss and progresses from downtown into the River Arts District, described as downhill to mostly flat. Chip timing is provided using a MyLaps system and the course is marked with route signage. Event logistics include a complimentary bag drop transported to the finish, complimentary shuttles from the finish back to the start area, and options for virtual participation with mailed swag. Strollers are not permitted on the course and dogs may attend only as spectators. The organizer does not offer refunds; in-person entries may be transferred to the virtual event before race start, transfers between participants are prohibited, and transfers made within seven days of the race incur a $10 fee.
