RAD Half Marathon & 10K
The RAD Half Marathon & 10K takes place in Asheville, North Carolina on June 14, 2026, and routes runners through the River Arts District alongside the French Broad River. The event offers two certified distances:
- Half Marathon : 13.1 miles
- 10K : 6.2 miles
Both courses are USATF certified and chip timed, and the half marathon features a net elevation loss with a predominantly downhill profile. The route is described as clearly marked and supported; the course is subject to change pending final permits.
Participant amenities include a sublimated performance race tee (free until May 11, then available for purchase), a custom finisher medal, complimentary shuttles for participants, pre-race expo with an artisan market and packet pickup, and locally sourced awards. A post race party will feature live music, local vendors, an award ceremony, food trucks, and a complimentary beer for participants aged 21 and over.
The event partners with the River Arts District Artists Foundation to support local artists and offers an option for registrants to add a donation to that organization. Additional logistics: a virtual race option with mailed swag is available, strollers are not permitted on course, dogs are permitted only as spectators, transfers to the virtual event are allowed prior to the race, and refunds and deferrals are not provided in normal circumstances.
