Racin' for Bacon 4 Miler and Pup Strut
The Racin' for Bacon 4 Miler and Pup Strut is held at Nomahgen Park in Cranford, New Jersey. This Turkey Trot-inspired event takes place during Thanksgiving week and is organized by MegaBite Runs. The course is flat and designed to accommodate both runners and walkers.
Participants can choose from the following event distances:
- 4 miles
- 1.5 miles (Pup Strut)
The 4 mile race is open to participants aged 5 to 100. The 1.5 mile Pup Strut is a new addition where participants are encouraged to bring their dogs. Participants in the Pup Strut receive bacon dog treats for their pets.
All finishers receive a themed medal and freshly cooked bacon provided at the finish line by Btch'n Bacon on a Stick. T-shirts and medals are guaranteed for those who register by October 31. The event takes place regardless of rain, snow, or sunshine.
Race day packet pick-up begins at 8:30 AM at the park. Same-day registration is available if the event has not reached its capacity. Participants are also invited to bring an unwrapped toy to the event to support Toys for Tots in Northern New Jersey. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
