NYCRUNS Endless Summer 10K
The NYCRUNS Endless Summer 10K takes place on Governors Island, offering participants views of the New York Harbor and the Statue of Liberty. The event features a singular race distance:
- 10 km
The 10 km course consists of a picturesque two-loop tour of the island and is USATF-certified. Because the route contains a high number of turns, it is not advised for handcycle or wheelchair athletes. All participants must maintain a specific pace to remain within the official time limits for course support.
A designated Festival Area is located near the ferry terminal, providing facilities for bib and shirt pickup, bag check, and bathrooms. The start and finish lines are situated steps away from this central hub. NYCRUNS utilizes a pace-based corral system for the start, with assignments determined by the performance profiles of participants.
Amenities provided include water and electrolyte fluids at hydration stations on the course and at the finish line. Post-race refreshments feature fresh fruit and bagels. Participants receive a summer singlet as race swag and have access to free digital race photos after the event.
Access to Governors Island is provided via ferry from the Battery Maritime Building in Manhattan. On race morning, there is no charge for runners or their guests to use the ferry service. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
