NYCRUNS Endless Summer 10K - Governors Island, August 29, 2026
The event is a 10K road race held on Governors Island in New York. The entry includes ferry rides to and from the island for runners and their guests, an official race tech shirt, and post-race food. Ferry service is provided at no charge on race morning.
The course is a two-loop tour of Governors Island and is USATF-certified. The Festival Area, a short walk from the ferry terminal, houses bib and shirt pickup, bag check, portable bathrooms, and the Start and Finish areas. Bibs are available for pickup on race morning using a unique QR code; NYCRUNS members may receive mailed bibs when specific registration and address conditions are met.
Race amenities include a single clear-bag policy for checked items (clear bag provided if needed), water and electrolyte stations on course and at the finish, and post-race refreshments that include fresh fruit and a bagel. The event giveaway is a summer singlet to be picked up on race day. Race photos are provided after the event by the official photographer.
Start corrals are pace-based and labeled AA through F; corral assignments appear on the bib and are tied to the pace listed in the NYCRUNS dashboard. Results will be emailed and posted online. Awards are given to the top three male, female, and non-binary finishers overall by gun time, with age-group awards by chip time. Due to the number of turns, the course is not recommended for handcycle or wheelchair athletes. Standard no-refund, no-transfer policies apply; members have race-credit withdrawal options. Strollers and dogs are not permitted and time limits are enforced on course. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
