NYCRUNS Endless Summer 10K on Governors Island
NYCRUNS Endless Summer is a 10 km race held on Governors Island with views of New York Harbor and the Statue of Liberty. The course is a picturesque two-loop tour of the island and is USATF-certified. The Festival Area near the ferry terminal serves as bib and shirt pick-up, bag check, bathroom access, and the post-race refreshment zone.
Participants are assigned pace-based start corrals labeled AA through F. Bibs are available for pick up on race morning in the Festival Area and require a unique QR code; NYCRUNS members may opt to have bibs mailed if they register 20 days or more before the event and provide a U.S. mailing address. Bag check requires a single clear bag (18 x 24 inches); staff may search bag contents. Portable bathrooms will be available and water plus electrolyte fluids will be provided on course and at the finish. Post race refreshments in the Festival Area include a bag of pretzels, an apple, and an ice pop. Participant shirts are available for pick up on race day only and sizes are not guaranteed. Race photos are delivered by email a few days after the event. Results are emailed and posted online. Awards are given to the top three male, female, and non-binary finishers overall by gun time and to top three in each age group by net time. Handcycle and wheelchair athletes are not advised to register due to the number of turns on the course. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
