Run for Research : RaceTrac
RaceTrac's Run for Research is a community race held at The Battery Atlanta on September 26, 2026. The event benefits the Michael J. Fox Foundation and lists Coca-Cola and the Michael J. Fox Foundation as premium sponsors.
Distances offered include:
- 5K Run/Walk
- 1K Run/Walk (13 and older)
- 1K Run/Walk (12 and under)
Registration fees vary by date and event. A virtual 5K option is available with its own registration fee. Early packet pickup is offered at Big Peach Running Co. in Marietta on September 19. Parking at The Battery Atlanta is available in multiple decks with the first two hours free and subsequent hourly fees; a parking map is provided for reference.
Participant amenities include disposable timing tags, a dry fit race t-shirt for 5K entrants, a vendor village, and RaceTrac gift card giveaways. Awards include cash prizes for overall male and female finishers and age group awards; overall awards are based on gun time and age group awards on chip time. Dogs are not allowed at the 5K. Strollers are allowed with a request that stroller users start near the back to maintain safety for other participants. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
