SBTF Race for Research
The Southeastern Brain Tumor Foundation Race for Research is an annual community run and walk held at Atlantic Station in Atlanta, GA. The event has taken place since 2000 and has grown from a small local race into a gathering that regularly welcomes more than 1,000 participants and has raised over $3 million for the brain tumor community.
The event follows a tailgate style atmosphere where teams set up tents and connect with other participants. It includes commemorative elements such as a Wall of Honor and a Survivor Tree to recognize survivors, caregivers, and current patients. Partners including treatment centers and local businesses provide resources and information to attendees during the event. Opening and closing ceremonies highlight top fundraisers, sponsors, longtime supporters, and volunteers.
The Race for Research is scheduled for September 19, 2026 and is held rain or shine. Registration is planned to open in June 2026. Distances offered at the event include:
- 1k walk/run
- 5k walk/run
