Race to the Stones 2026
Race to the Stones 2026 is a trail running event in Lewknor, Oxfordshire, organised by Threshold Sports on 11–12 July 2026. It is offered as continuous and staged options over the Ridgeway route through the North Wessex Downs and finishes at Avebury.
Available distances include:
- 100k Non-Stop (100 km)
- 100k over 2 Days (100 km)
- Day One Thames Valley 50k (50 km)
- Day Two Ridgeline 50k (50 km)
The 100 km route runs from Lewknor to Avebury and lists total elevation of 3,704 ft. The two 50 km stages cover Lewknor to Wantage (1,973 ft) and Wantage to Avebury (1,731 ft). The course passes landmarks such as the Uffington White Horse, Liddington Castle and the Avebury Stone Circle and crosses farmland, woodland and ridgeway trails.
Event logistics include fully signposted trails in day and night conditions, chip timing, medical personnel at pit stops and loaded pit stops approximately every 10 to 15 km offering snacks, drinks, toilets and first aid. Additional services noted are hot meals at halfway and finish, showers and toilets, bag transfer, bookable shuttles, event photographers and a finisher's medal. Parking must be pre-booked and visible on the dashboard. Entrants must be aged 18 or over. Race packs are sent one week before the event start date.
