Race To The Stones

Website

Race to the Stones is the UK's largest ultramarathon, held along the ancient Ridgeway trail from Lewknor to the 5,000-year-old Avebury Standing Stones, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The event offers a challenging 100km course with 1,340m of elevation, which can be completed non-stop or over two days with an overnight stay at a basecamp. The race features scenic, historic landscapes in Southern England, including the Thames Valley and high ridgelines.

It is walker-friendly with aid stations and clear signage, making it accessible to many. A £1,000 prize fund is available for breaking the course record, and charity entries start from £40. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.

Always double-check with the organizer's website – things can change, and we might have sprinted past a few details!
