Event overview

Race to the Stones takes place on 11th - 12th July 2026 along The Ridgeway. Distances on offer include:

The event lists a cut-off of 25+ hours. Standard entry prices start from £45 per person. Specific package prices shown include: 100K Non-Stop £185, 100K Over Two Days £175 (excl. camping) / £265 (incl. camping), and 50K day entries £90. A rolling course record prize fund is in place for 2026: Men’s fund £1000, Women’s fund £2000. Course records shown include a men’s time of 07:41:56 (2025) and a women’s time of 09:14:14 (2015).

Route, facilities and safety

The route follows the Ridgeway and passes multiple historic sites dated to over 5000 years, including Grim’s Ditch, Goring on the Thames, Liddington Hill Fort, the Uffington White Horse, Barbury Castle, the Hackpen White Horse, and finishes at the Avebury Standing Stones (UNESCO World Heritage Site). The 100 km course has about 1350 m of elevation gain.

Support provisions include seven main pitstops stocked with food and drink, a halfway basecamp on Lattin Down with hot food and showers, a free hot meal at the finish, fully signposted trails, individual chip timing, event photographers, rapid-response paramedic teams, medical clinics at basecamp and finish, bag transfer to the finish, and optional shuttles and parking (additional cost).
