Event overview
Race to the Stones takes place on 11th - 12th July 2026 along the Ridgeway in Southern England. Distances on offer are 50km, 100km non-stop, and 100km over two days. Entry prices start from £45 per person with payment plans available. Specific ticket prices include £185 for the 100k non-stop, £175 for the 100k over two days (excluding camping) and £265 including camping, and £90 for each 50k day. The event uses individual chip timing and a cut-off of 25+ hours for the full route.
Course, support and logistics
The route follows the Ridgeway and passes historic sites such as Grim's Ditch, Goring on the Thames, Liddington Hill Fort, the Uffington White Horse, Barbury Castle, the Hackpen White Horse, and finishes at the Avebury Standing Stones, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The 100k route has about 1350 m of elevation gain. Organisers provide fully signposted trails, seven main pitstops with food and drink, a halfway basecamp with hot food and showers, event photographers, and live finish-line support including a finisher medal and hot meal. Medical provision includes rapid response paramedic teams, qualified medical staff at pit-stops, and medical clinics at basecamp and finish. Additional services include bag transfer, bookable shuttles and parking (additional cost), training plans and webinars, and optional extras such as individual trackers and event photos.
