Race The Light at Wendover Woods
Race The Light at Wendover Woods takes place on 18 July 2026 at Wendover Woods, Buckinghamshire. The event raises funds for the Chilterns Neuro Centre, which supports people affected by multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s and stroke survivors. All proceeds from this event are donated to the Centre.
Distances
- 10K Trail route with 250m+ elevation.
- 5K Trail route with 125m+ elevation.
- 1.5K Fully accessible loop for wheelchair users, walkers and under 12s only.
Both the 5K and 10K use trails within Wendover Woods with no road crossings or gates. The courses are undulating, with climbs and long descents on good quality footpaths. The event is fully marked and marshalled and licensed by the Trail Running Association; it is held under UKA rules.
Event facilities and rules include a maximum of 500 runners, chip timing with live results, finishers medals, medical support, a water stop on the 10K and aid of sweets, discounted car parking and a bag drop. Dogs and canicross are not permitted. The 1.5K follows an accessible path suitable for wheelchair users. The event base is Wendover Woods, managed by Forestry England.
