Race The Light at Wendover Woods
Race The Light at Wendover Woods is a weekend trail running event held on 18 July 2026 at Wendover Woods, Buckinghamshire. The event supports the Chilterns Neuro Centre; all proceeds from entries are donated to the charity, which assists people affected by multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s and stroke.
Routes take place entirely on woodland trails with no road crossings or gates. The course is fully marked and marshalled, and organisers advise that a map or GPX file is not required to navigate. The terrain includes sustained climbs and long descents; recorded elevation gain is 250m plus for the 10 km and 125m plus for the 5 km. A water station is provided approximately halfway along the 10 km route and cups will be available.
Entry options and participant details include finishers medals, chip timing with live results, medical support, discounted car parking and a bag drop. The event is licensed by the Trail Running Association and held under UKA rules. Maximum field size is 500 runners. Accessible facilities include toilets in the main building and a 1.5 km loop that follows a fully accessible path for wheelchair users, walkers and under 12s.
